Keep on the look out for Malcolm McGrawGet daily updates directly to your inboxSubscribeSee our privacy noticeThank you for subscribing! At the weekend police mounted a major search for pensioner Malcolm McGraw (74), who has disappeared without trace from his home in the Highland Perthshire town. The only details of Mr McGraw’s last known movements are that he went for a walk on Friday night, August 10, and did not return.A search helicopter was used over the weekend to try and locate the keen walker, often seen taking a stroll around Pitlochry. The chopper crew made sweeps between Pitlochry and Ballinluig and a specialist search team scoured the River Tummel beside the A9.Police were going through CCTV footage taken in the town centre in the hope of piecing together where Mr McGraw went. The description being circulated by police has Mr McGraw reportedly wearing a dark blue jumper and trousers, standing 5ft 7in tall, slim build with grey hair.Family members added yesterday that he may have been wearing a green jacket as well.Appeals to locate him have been shared all over Perthshire and there have been informal offers of search parties looking through the area near his house at the far end of Dalcapon Road. Suggested locations to look are at the turn off from the Old Military Road just before it rejoins the A9.Councillor for Highland ward, Mike Williamson said: “I was heartened to see local people have volunteered to go out and look, that’s really kind. I hope this person is found soon, it’s not been good weather to be outside”.While at the time of going to press no news on Mr McGraw had come in, another missing man also lost in the Pitlochry area had turned up safe and well over the weekend.Police Scotland had been concerned for the welfare of a man in his 40s, who was last seen on August 6 at the Milton of Fonab Caravan Park, Pitlochry. The camper went off from the holiday park leaving his rucksack and sleeping bag behind, which sparked a separate search. The man was found safely.Like us on FacebookFollow us on TwitterDaily NewsletterNewsallMost ReadMost RecentKilmarnock’He beat me then killed himself’ Kilmarnock mum battered near to death and raped by partner reveals she tried to save his lifeWARNING: Images show the devastating impact Nikolas Pirrie’s rape and beating had on his victim the thug would later take his own lifeKilwinningScots lads in Ibiza go viral with hilarious ‘oan the night shift’ parody videoThe lads from Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, have racked up almost a million views since the clip was posted on social media on Saturday night.British ArmyHeartbroken wife of squaddie who took his own life after PTSD torment pays touching tributeJamie, a sniper with 4 SCOTS, met Samantha when both served in Iraq.Michelle MoneMichelle Mone’s daughter to swap privilege for Glasgow poverty in new TV showBethany Mone will visit mum Michelle’s home town of Bridgeton, one of the UK’s most deprived areas, as part of the new Channel 4 series.Michelle Mone’GTF and take your brat with you’ Michelle Mone mercilessly trolled on Twitter over daughter’s poverty safari TV stintThe Tory bra tycoon was blasted for saying she was ‘very proud’ of daughter Bethany who spent a week in Glasgow’s deprived east end.Celtic FC’It’s not rocket science’ Brendan Rodgers insists lack of signings cost Celtic in Champions LeagueCeltic crashed out at the third qualifying round following a 3 2 aggregate defeat to AEK Athens.RutherglenDecision is due on new nursery for CambuslangThe nursery would be on the site of the old St Charle’s Primary school in Newton.
